show me where its cheaper to rebuild a 2 stroke!!! i can promise u they are more if not the same as a 4 i have rebuilt both, one a 660 raptor and the motor i just built cost me about 1400 with the port work. the raptor wasnt even close to that.. we even put a stage 1 cam in it. that thing was a beast, it comes down to preference, u want a good woods bike but nothing else? go with a 400ex they are decent bikes but have a lot of major flaws, u want an overall rounded good draggin bike and a good trail quad if u wanted or even a race bike the 450r is far superior to the 400ex just by engine design and power output, but if u want a 400ex get a 400ex, if u want a 450 get a 450 and any recreational vehicle if u dont take care of it, its gonna cause u problems and u will sink money into it for ur own stupidity. do what u want to do.
