Put engine in gear ,preferably 6th, hold brake, remove nut. Check threads on shaft, maybe get new nut and washer. Might consider using same process for holding when tightening. JMHO, your results may and will vary. I:I

Put it in 6th and held the tire and that was enough to get it off. I need to clean the threads off now and try again. By a sheer stroke of luck, I stopped by a couple mechanic's places and they didn't have metric sized keys, but stopped by a guy I know's moped shop....specializing in Euro spec mopeds which no longer use keys for flywheels(70s tech) and asked him if he had any and he didn't think so, but after doing a little digging through his "sh*t pile", low and behold, there was an OEM spec Blaster woodruff key sitting there that he just gave me. I was about blown off my feet as that was just pure luck that he had one of those laying around to the same specs. I:I I'll have to try putting it all back together tomorrow.

Be sure to visit your newfound "friend" for other needs such as oil, plugs, maybe A.M. parts. Might even pick up some knowledge, might not even be Blaster related. I:I
Glad it's working out, be sure to lap flwheel/shaft as mentioned before.
