so wat is the danger of this hole problem

i stole this pic to show wat im talking about
there is a hole were i got circled the little black knotch isnt in there it looked like the guy b4 me tried to pry it off and broke a peice of the case is it a major problem wat should i do

that hole is suppose to be there. there should be a black rubber piece that goes in there. I believe its just left over from the days of the dt

its not there though and there is damage around the hole that is left there could i just cover it with tape or something i jus wanna know if it is gonna be a big issue when im riding or if it is gonna prevent the engine from running right

Is the hole on the flywheel side of the left case or more toward the middle of the left case? if you can look through the hole and see the flywheel, then tape will work. Just need to keep water and dirt out of it. If the holes toward the center of the case then its going to require more then just tape to fix it

yeah its the hole that had the black rubber peice in it except it has gotten a lil chipped of its jus above the flywheel so it shouldnt be problem thanx man set my mind at ease
