So they asked me what a blaster needed

My dad uses "Feices" as "Facetious" sometimes. For example, "I was being feices!"

Sorry for the delay in reporting how well it works

To answer a few of the questions

I welded two 2" long .750 Dia. posts directly above the two rear cyl. studs
Now the nuts sit just above the bottom cooling fin and are accessed thru a .750 hole thru the top fins (with the head off)

The cage was from a 780 polaris watercraft but has now has been replaced with a v-force cage from a 1000 Thundercat (same cage as some 1980s rm 250 & 500s)

The bore is 68mm
The head has been reconfigured to run on 92 octane premium with a squish that is 45% of the bore.
The carb is a 34mm Mikuni VM (needs a 38mm Tmx)
Timing is .125 set at rpm with a light
The pipe is a 304 Pro-circuit with modified flange and inlet (slightly larger and uses a grafoil donut)
Gearing is 15:40
Tires are 22"

To tell the truth im more into boats & sleds than things with tires and most of my testing-tuning goodies are dedecated to various other toys and without a baseline i dont know how increadably big the gains are.

Until sat all I could say is that it needs more gear (and brakes)!!!!
It has great power everywhere
A suprisingly large amount of grunt even when intentionaly luging it at low (off the pipe ) rpms.
And just ROCKS thru the gears when on the pipe

Sat two "Snowmobiling friends" called to say they would be in the area with their atvs (knowing I dont own one) asked if I wanted to come along.
I said there was a blaster I could borrow and would be ready when they arrived.

He hung up laughing
Both are great at tuning and riding sleds (for old guys)

WTF did I get myself into

Well they showed up wih two polaris Predators

One stock the other with a pipe and jet kit

What did I learn on my 75mi. ride last sat.

1) In .4 mile
The stock Predator was slower than the one with the pipe

2) The borrowed blaster was equal to the one with the pipe regardless of who was riding it (all three old guys weighing in at about #240) and would begin to pull away at .4 mi toping out by .5mi

3) 4 strokes are heavy and have alot of unnecessary parts inside and dont even smell kewl

4) Polaris watercraft reeds kinda suck (they were free)

5) The V-Force reeds and cage made more power than the polaris cage at every RPM!!!

So let me ask you guys how good are Polaris Predators?

Are their any good accelerometer apps for the iphone?
 
A buddy of mine had 2 polaris predators and I was not impressed with them. Seemed they were about the same as a ltz400 but about 100lbs heavier. They also broke down quite often. As for the iphone you may have to do a search I haven't got one.
 
there are programs for the iphone, similar to the "my tracks" i use on my droid
not sure of the name though, tracks everywhere you go, with time, speed, elevation changes, map ect.
