Well I bought a banshee axle and carrier the other night and it will probably bolt up even though the banshee carrier is about 1/4 inch longer then my blaster carrier.
But,
I have question as to weather or not this will put the sprockets out of alignment? the actual carrier is a couple inches longer than the blasters is. thus moving the chain out farther on the axle?
Brakes will be an issue. The blasters brakes won't work for 2 reasons, one is the caliper won't bolt up to the banshee carrier and 2 is the blasters brake disks kinda float and the banshee disk is in a fixed position.
As I understand it my only option will be to get a banshee rear brake system and a 03+ blaster right foot peg with brake pedal and rig that up, but then I still have to weld on my frame a place to mount hydrolics setup.
I wish I had known all that ahead of time. I would have just gotten a longer axle for my stock carrier or something.
Now if i put it on I will have to say the heck with rear brakes and hope the chain alignment is okay?
sheesh...

Heres the scoop. You need to use your blaster carrier. The banshee carrier is too short to fit the blaster.Use the banshee axle and a banshee brake hub.The rotors are the same for both quads.Your sprocket hub from the blaster will fit also.I cut the brake boss off of the banshee carrier and welded it to the blaster carrier.Only other option would be to use the 03 and up carrier where it is just a bolt on and will work with banshee hydros or blaster hydros.Either way it is not that bad at all.If you want pics or more info send me a p.m. Good luck.

I have a 2000 Banshee axle in my '97 blaster carrier. Used the banshee rotor and blaster sprocket. Everything is nice and tight even with the stock bearings. I have new bearings for when I paint everything and reinstall. I can send pics if you want them. Also did the 400ex shock with spacers - worked great. Used an ebay hydraulic brake kit and it lines up good.

Hi thanks for the help!
The banshee carrier is definitely too short to bolt in my blasters swing arm.
I am still confused as to weather the banshee axle will fit in my blaster carrier or not.
My blaster is an 01 and the banshee axle is old. I don't know what year. If you think it will work, i will order some bearings and go for it. It figures tho because i just just just put new bearings in the blasters carrier. I am pretty sure they'll get destroyed pulling the axle out again? i know that tube inside the axle around the carrier makes one of the bearings come out when your removing the axle.
Thanks again for your help!

Blast on!

I put the banshee carrier on my blaster you just have to get the spacing right. Its not dead center its like an 8th on the sprocket side and maybe 5/8 on the brake side I been riding all weekend and aint had no problems just got to get a hydro brake set up

You will be fine.I was able to save my bearings with ease.Take everything apart and then hold the carrier with your hands and slam the axle down on a piece of wood.Should come right apart.

Better you than me.I take it you used some spacers to make up the difference. It may work for now but not something that I would ever reccomend.IMO
