Well, finally got to put the blasty together, and get three heat cycles done, the proper way this time. Thanks to Ken Oconner for hookin a Bro up!
Here is how I did my heat cycles,-Kick it over- let it idle- while blippin the throttle no more than 1/4 every 20 seconds or so (i screwed in the stop on the throttle box for this but ya don't have to)-Ran it for 5 minutes felt the side of the cylinder real warm , ran for another two minutes, blippin the throttle and then felt the cylinder, hot to touch-OUCH! Shut 'er down, it took maybe 1 and 3/4 hours to completely cool down at 70* outside temp.
New bore, piston, rod and bearings, crank bearings too. And of course new case halves as mine blew holes after the piston shattered!:-[ I will get the last two heat cycles done tomorrow and then Tuesday/Wednesday- take'r for a nice easy ride- Do a plug chop and tune it in good. I've got a good hand on this 30MM OKO and I'm pretty sure the jetting is very close!
Oh ya I switched to Super M mix, 32:1. Instead of techniplate R50 gonna use that for the chainsaw!
More to come....
