hey guys i have a 1989 suzuki quadrunner 300 2 wheel drive chain driven. it is a utility quad. has new kenda bearclaw back tires and front tires are in great shape. runs excellent and rides great. needs a starter (can be bought brand new off ebay for 54 dollars shipped) and needs the front brakes bled (they work if pumped). comes with an extra complete rear end (axle housing on the extra is broke) and the extra has new brakes in it.

i am talking to a guy about trading it to a 2003 honda trx250ex that needs piston and rings, tires are about gone but could be ran for a little longer, grab bar is bent a little, and exhaust baffle is missing. also it's rear plastic is faded a little but looks good overall. motor looks good with no oil spots except for around the oil fill hole (looks like they spilled some when filling it up). here is a link to the ad.

let me know what you guys think. a wiseco piston kit (includes gaskets and all) is 180 dollars, all 4 new tires for 190, and i'm sure i can find an exhaust and grab bar on ebay for cheap.
 
Yea, I think you should and then fix it up sell it and get a quad. Or if you like it keep it. They make great kids quads too
 
i have had to repair mine alot too and i just don't like mine. i got mine on a trade from a dirtbike i paid 100 dollars for and the guy gave me 350 boot with the quad in the trade. so i made profit altogether more or less. and i was wanting another sport quad anyways and they said they would trade me even. i can get it fixed up for under about 400 dollars.
 
That's your call. Your blaster can probably whoop that 250ex like nothing, though.I'd think you can get fair money for your 300 at the moment.
 
no not really, the best i've got offered for my 300 is 100 dollars... i'd probably be better off doing this trade, fixing the 250, then if i don't like it and keep it i could get more money out of it. my biggest problem is i don't have a truck to haul it with because my dad is taking his sweet little time putting the headliner in my truck so we can get it in my mom's name and get insurance on it.

i don't see a helmet on your head doing that wheelie in your sig!! X( lol you should always wear that helmet dude, only time i don't wear mine is if i'm just testing my toy in my yard (and my yard is very small, you'd be surprised how small). also thanks for the feedback :)
 
alright guys i've decided that if i can get someone to haul me and the fourwheeler then i am going to trade. the 250ex is worth more overall being newer and size difference isn't much. and i am still going to have the blaster and i know the 250ex won't be as fast, but i am better at wheelies and other stuff on a 4 stroke, don't know why for sure but it's just going to be to romp around on.

im sorry man ,just my stupidness lol i was just driving it to the trailor to load up about 100yrds was a good last spin though B)....good luck with it hope you get it !

you should know me by now, every single new part i get for the blaster if i don't get pics when they arrive then i always get pics when they're on the blaster! I:I and i hope i get it, i like that they have alot of aftermarket parts like the blaster because kids race them. first aftermarket part i'm getting is hmf full exhaust (maybe drd full exhaust, it's what i have on my 2008 crf150f and i like it). here's a vid of one with a widening kit and hmf exhaust, i want to do mine sort of like it ;)

^^^ i will if i get a ride, and your raptor looks sweet with the yellow hood, i see the one in your sig was done in paint or some other program, i see where the edges are a little blocky and i see that it's customized (i'd say kronik did it for you?). is the avatar pic a legit yellow hood?
 
Do it and if you don't like it sell it and get some motor work done on that beast Blaster! Haha you got the looks on it now you just need to wake that motor up. Haha

HMF is good but i prefer sparks and curtis or yoshi ;)

yeah i like all those too, i really like drd because i have the most experience with it but prices are high, drd and hmf is cheapest that i actually know or have had experience with. they're about 350, then fmf and a few other ones were 500+
