I have the opportunity to buy a 2003 Blaster. It is in good condition but the guy says it just needs a new piston to run. It also comes with a 2000 Blater parts bike (no engine) The guy want $650.00 for both of them. Does this sound like a good deal? I am thinking it would be a good winter project. What do you all think?

i would go for it.... definatly look into it more... but from what your saying... it would be worth the chance.
Yeah get it, but try to talk him down some. Go over it and point out every little thing that is wrong that you can find.

i bought my banshee that i made into my drag bike for 300, from 500because i kept pointing out minor faults(1 after another after another), and if it doesn't work..i guess just take it..but THAT IS A KICKASS DEAL IMO JUST MAKE SURE U LOOK INTO IT TO MAKE SURE NO MAJOR THINGS WRONG HE NOT TELLING YOU

I bought the blasters. I already pulled the engine apart in the best one. It has a hole in the piston. The top end is at the Machine shop right now. I got them both for $550.00 Plus $200.00 for boring head clean up and a topend rebuild kit. $750.00 for a running Blater. Not bad. I also have the other one I may re build.
Anybody know where I can get another Blaster engine cheap?

Deff buy it it is worth it, if all goes wrong then just part it out an make more money off of it.
Ask him what happened to the piston. Usually pistons will NOT wear down. It's usually the rings that do. If the piston needs to be replaced, sounds like he didn't use the correct mixture. Since he didn't, the rod could be bent, the bearings blue, and the block scored...
