I have been wanting to change the frt suspension on my blaster but I don't have the cash to do it all at once so my question is should I get the a-arms first and then the shocks or the other way around. Which way would be more beneficial in the short term and the long term. All opinions are appreciated. Thank you.... Oh yeah I pretty much only do trail riding

that all depends... if you get suspension on your stock arms... it will need different valving if you go to extended arms. IMO... get the extended arms then shocks... the shocks will feel softer and make due till you can afford AM shocks.

Mine, obviously.

What Ride.race.live said is true. Perfectly valved and sprung shocks for you on stock suspension will be WAY too soft on +3 a-arms. The bad news is, unless you get a shock builder who has "been there and done that" with blaster extended a-arms and shocks you aren't going to have a bunch of luck finding out how much to change your shocks to accommodate the extra leverage the arms have on the shocks.

If you are only looking for an inexpensive upgrade to stock suspension, source some banshee shocks. They give about 3/4" more travel and the springs are progressive so they ride a little better. They're not leaps and bounds better but a little (I estimate $50 worth better).
