shifting problem

it goes into 1st, nutural, 2, 3 fine but

but to get it to lock into 4th i have to shift it up and rotate the tire some for it to lock in, and then the same to go into 5th.

and then it shifts find from 5th to 6th like it should.

then when i downshift it goes from 6th to 5th fine, but then to go from 5th to 4th i have to rotate the tire, and then the same to go from 4th to 3rd.

then from 3rd down to 1st it shift fine.

what could cause this?

i also havent put the oil in it yet but didnt think it really woudl be need for this.

i only noticed it becuase it was in 1st and i needed to roll it. so i then decieded to see if it shifted though all the gears ok.

put oil in it, and ride it and see how it acts, the blaster trans is a constant mesh trans and it has to be constantly rolling to work correctly

oh ok, that makes me feel better. im still puting the entire bike back toghater and was really worried that. but it goes in with barly rolling the tires, im talking like maybe an inch so hopefully it'll be ok.

no problem man, just put a good quality motorcycle oil in it and take it out and ride it

this is my old stock motor, trust me it shifts fine i dont sell broken sh*t!!!!

yeah you have to roll it to get it to shift all the gears are always meshed the forks just engage them, without rolling they wont engage so its fine

can someone give me a link to the correct bel ray gearsaver oil? I cant find 10x30. seems like its all 80w90 or sae 75.

edit... i did find some 10x30 bel ray oil, but its not the gearsaver, and it says its for a 4 stroke.
