Shift shaft mods

I just spilt the case apart and was wonderin if it would be worth my to do any mods to the shift shaft

No...just maybe the shift star you can mod that and at that i do not mess w/ anything, maybe 1 of the builders can help you out on this one,from what i know you should have to get other gears and alot of work.

yes it makes shifting alot smoother, takes out the notchy feeling when shifting......but it is the shift star u want mod not the shaft

I run the shafts in a lathe and polish them with 1500 grit wet / dry paper. Freaks star mod works killer also.

on a banshee i know that they put a ceramic bearing in stead of a metal on so that the shift rod doesnt weld it self to gether from all the heat they also do like stated above the slightly round off the tips on the shift star for smoother shifting. i have yet to hear of the shift bearing swap for a blaster. on my bike i rounded off the shift star a little and then tig welded it bc they have a prob with shearing off of the keeper pin and screw. hope this helps

It is the shift star you need to mod.I have pics of before and after if you need the help with it.Also the clutch ball is ceramic nitride and is made for the blaster by one company only.
