Scooters

lol, like i said. if i go through with this it's gonna be one that i want. those yamaha's are awesome it seems and i'd still get good mileage.

Here, anything 50 cc's or over, which has gears, or is not limited to less than 30mph, has to be registered and insured as a motorcycle. The driver must also get a motorcycle endorsement on top of their regular license.

If you're going to go with a Zuma 125 (which is still awefully scooter-like), why not go with a proper motorcycle which can be used on the highway as well as just back and forth to work? Small motorcycles can be had fairly cheap. Honda rebel 250's are regularly under $1,000 on CL and they can at least run highway speeds (granted just barely but they can at least do it).

knock-off or not, that's a good deal...

You can save $300 in gas in about 6 months even not riding too far from work. Who cares it's a knock-off and goofy looking. It'll get like 100MPG and it's CHEAP!

Before the C70 was acting up, I rode it to work on country roads. It took longer to get there since it only did 45mph stock, but I didn't even use a gallon of gas in an entire week of riding. On the average week in my car now that is getting between 32-35mpg on the highway, I spend about $30/week in gas and that's just to work, not anywhere else. I need to get the C70 back into commission because $4/week for gas sounds a lot better. I:I

i'm not gonna lie i'm scared of motorcycles. i can't handle something like that, at least i don't think i can. i'll go as fast as humanly possible on 4 wheels, but that's where it ends. a little 125 would be perfect for me though.

Anything over 49cc's but smaller than about 250cc's has the disadvantages of a motorcycle but none of the advantages...

A rebel 250 (or any of the small displacement bikes) isn't that fast. It's a small "trainer" cruiser bike but you can take it out on the highway... in case you want to be able to go faster than 30MPH.

Just my opinion, but you could get a small enduro (200-250cc). That way you could always do a little off road too, and they still should get around 50+mpg.

my 600rr gets 50mpg...till i hit the throttle, lol

i say get u a 250 2 stroke bro, those moriwakis are bad ass bikes and lightweight so are awesome on the track, if i could score one i would, peter lenz smoked me on his 250 racing me on my 600rr. but in my defense he did it professionally, i race for fun

but if ur skerrd get ya a vespa!!

yeah, they are about 8K new I think.... I got it for about 1,500 used it's a 2001
from what I have read, there frame is almost an exact clone of a honda cbr600rr

if you find one used for a good price GET IT! lol

I have a CBR 600rr sitting in my backyard right now and i can tell you that it is not the same lmao.
i bought a DRZ 400 sm for saving gas. i know you can get Dual Sports cheap and you dont look like a complete idiot on one. Youd never catch me on a god damn scooter , id rather walk.

that's a lot of damn scooters. was that taiwan or hong kong or something.

Taiwan......they are a little more intelligent than americans when it comes to the fuel crisis. In my hometown, I actually see about that many mopeds zooming around. My family has 2 mopeds and a scooter that we don't even really use anymore.....everybody has them.

I've gotten used to scooters especially being in Columbus a lot and living there off and on. Makes life a hell of a lot easier. Quite frankly, the street bike douches are the biggest homos there because 99% of them have no clue how to ride a bike, nor do they ever wear helmets. They just cruise around in their douche clans around the city and make a lot of noise. 8-|
