safe compression??

Hey yall don't get on much. Just got my new motor back and did a compression test. Reading 218psi. Is this safe for the internals?? Looking to get some input and see if other members bb strokers are pushing that much compression safely.

thats off the charts of any psi. i've ever seen for a blaster

is this a trail machine ?

I view this forum alot but don't' speak much. Currently trying to finish my build. I'm running vp 110 mixed with 32:1 belray h1r

Its more of a play around at home and sometimes track bike. had my local builder do all the motor work. said to keep it on a strict diet of 110 only.

Not trying to be a smart ass, but where did you buy your compression tester?

That is a hell of a compression figure, 218psi.

With that amount of compression I would be losing the advance key.

The lightened flywheel too may hold you back with so much compression because of the reduced inertia.

Not sure what your builder is trying to do but that’s a ton of compression. Hotrods recommends no more than 180PSI static compression for those cranks. Let us know how it works out.

Snap on. Was just before 220psi, that's why i said 218. Currently waiting on lower a arms so i can test the new motor but might be waiting awhile since usps lost my package. Thanks ken for your video on heat cycles. helped me out a lot

The bottom end of that little motor is going to be struggling to handle the strain for any length of time.

Motor is running strong with no issues. Would it be wise to get the ports opened a little more to get the compression down? My builder asked me to bring my quad back to him to redo the head to lower the compression. just trying to weigh my options and get the best solution

What size is the chamber of the head(CC's)?
What is the squish?
