running too rich

i think my blaster is running to rich how do i lean it out a bit it the screw on the side of the carb it or what it wont fire but wen i get pulled it runs and wen i stop it stalls it also has a kinda old spark plug so im going to change that tomorow

all i got from that was your running rich and something about the air screw

air screw should be around 1.5 turns out...then adjust the idle
 
messing with the air screw is only going to adjust the pilot jet..
if its running rich all the time then the main jet could be too big or the needle could be improperly adjusted
 
I had the same problem. I check every thing form fuel, fire, oil seals and all most replaced the the engine. It ran fine if you pushed or pulled it but wont start! The problem- bad coil and pick-up, replaced it and all is well again!!!
