running question...

i am working on my friends blaster its a 01 it has been sitting for about 5 to 6 years. he road it alot and it just shut off so he threw it in his shed where it sat for a wile, and he wants to get it running again so i have been working on it, i removed the tors checked the reeds all the gaskets are good, the carb is clean i removed the choke/ the jets air screw and cleaned it all out, and all i get out of it is back fire, i got it to run at one point but i had it full throttle and all it did was idle and it sounded like sh*t it has good comp it was 115 psi.. i was thinking maybe the woodruff key broke off, and the timing is off any ideas..

there is no air filter on atm so that's not it.. ill give it a try when i order up my flywheel puller and a new woodruff key...

im feeling the woodruff key my snowmobile did that before..

i hope so lol.. ill prolly order a puller and a advanced key from vitos and see if that works...

yea the key was broken, i put the new 1 on and it fired right up fist kick gotta love it haha..

broken key or broken reeds if all ur gettin is backfire. Check both.

yea the reeds were good, the woodruff key was broken and when i replaced it it fired right up and sounded great..
