Run Switch Question

When i bought my blaster on sunday the run off switch was unhooked, the only way i have to shut off my 02 blaster is either choke it out or pull off the kill switch. I need to kbow how to hook up my run switch so i can have it. any help would be great! thanks. pictures would help as well.

is the stock switch still there? along with the wiring?


just match up the colors on the wires and hoook it all up again. the kill wire is black with a white stripe IIRC

just turn ur key off and it will shut it off u dont have to use the run/off switch i dont even have mine connected

ok so the 2 wires that run to the key switch cut them and run them to a toggle switch or just twist them together and theres ur connection

but toggel switch wud be best just cus then u r able to just flip the switch and it dies then wen u wanna ride again just flip it back

both the key and the run/kill switch do the same task, and both should have a plug in under the hood, pull your hood to have a look for it to just be unplugged ??
i would hope if someone disconnected it, they just unplugged it instead of cutting the wires ???
either way, the schematic in the manual will show what wires need reconnected

its also possible to get a new key/switch, maybe someone on here doing a part out has one ???
check the for sale section for current part outs, you may have to pm them if you don't have enuf posts to post in that section ???

connecting the black, and black/white stripe wires is what kills it
leave them open it runs

ah kk if thats the case then u can still run a cheap toggle switch form napa or where ever be easier and look better

I personally like a push button type switch better.


I wouldn't advise getting a cheap parts store switch, as they're not really meant to be in the mud/water/dirt. get something for an ATV.

thats y u reroute it under ur seat its easy to fab a small water tight box for a toggle switch

I would think that would be pretty inconvenient, having everything on the bars within reach would be much better.

thats pretty neat so its just u push to kill it? do you have to push it again so it will start?

just push it to kill it. should be a momentary switch, just push it in, wait for motor to die, then release
