run in with cops!

i was driving (in my CAR) and saw these kids i kinda know, pulled over on the side by a local cop, one was a trx250 i believe and one was a big ass kawi dirt bike. this happens all the time in the city. STREET riding. most of the time they'll tell them to push it home or have sum1 pick it up. or on 1 occasion take the key and send u on a wild goose chase. ijust thought i share this. bc it could happen to any1 of us. I called a cop friend that was on that shift he said they towed the bikes and they wasnt getting it back cus no PAPERS. lucky it wasnt stolen cus they wouldve got hit with a felony. but it looks like the cop ran into them by luck cus they were on they were facing traffic so im assuming the quad mightve died out. that sucks!!

yea i agree. thats why i hardly ever ride mine. theres no trails around here in this state that i know of so every1 street rides or ride in big lots til they get booted. i have mine just to mod and look pretty in my garage. but a couple weeks ago when u was helping with rejetting i had to take it for a spin and theres a lowes plaza 100 yards from where i live. i took it there (behind the store) and was called on. cops came and asked if it was stolen. i said no and lucky i carry the title everytime i have it out. they ran the #s and asked me to drive it back home. was a close 1 i tell ya..

not really smart to carry the title with you, because i could come knock you off your quad, beat you up and then have your quad and the title.

or i could just use a 2x4 and when you go by me, hit you with it. seems easier to me.
i would suggest just having a picture of the title to show to the cops that you do have a title to the quad.

man i owend my quad for less than a month. i rode it once on a real snowy night with other quads. other than that its only been up and down my street for test runs. but ive really opened her up only ONCE. thats a shame huh? i cant find a place and i dont have a truck. FML!!

LOL. but yea sometimes the cops could be dicks and say well this could be a fake title, (looking at my phone) so i dont mind carrying it with me. i always have it in a ziplock bag tucked in my pocket but like i said i dont go anywhere with it so i dont worry much. its like having the registration in ur glove box. can never be TOO safe 8-|
