what jets are in your bike? and whats done to it? if your turning in the air screw and its getting better thats tellin you to go larger on the pilot and or raise the needle. find out what jets are in it first tho

You're running lean. Check for the obvious air leaks, then fatten up the jetting. Pick up the needle and go up on the main. If this doesn't solve the problem, check the float height for being too low, check the fuel line for obstructions or a bad bend and check the pet-weiner for blockage. I had one do this a few years ago and it turned out to be the fuel line. It was going to the carb at an upward angle. It would start good and run great for a few minutes then go lean.
good call. If his fuel line going from the tank to the carb inlet hangs lower than the bowl or is going up hill it wont be able to syphon into the carb.
also crack oven the bowl drain, put a catch can under it and let it run out for a little and see if the gas stream gets weaker.
