right side crankseal

im in the process of changing the crankseal on the wet side. ive gotten to the two gears but i cant seems to get the nut off to remove the gear and change the seal. ive tried to heat it up but still no luck. used a air gun and tried putting a penny in the gear to keep it from moving (local atv shop told me that) does anyone know if it is reverse thread or have any suggestions for me?

a flywheel holder tool is the ez way. only about 15 bux on rockymountainatv.com they aren't reverse thread.

shouldn't be that hard to get off, which gear is it specifically?

i have a flywheel puller that i bought when i did the left side. but im talking about the right side. are you saying that a flywheel puller will work? cause i dont understand how.

the gear all the way to the right, under that is the bearing seal. it doesnt budge at all

Heat it up and use an impact

we tried that earlier. we got it pretty hot too hmm i guess ill give it another go in the morning. i just dont see how its this hard seeing how its submerged in oil all the time.

finally got it off today using a stronger air gun. but now when i put it back together the clutch is really loose and the kickstart seems weird. does anyone know where i could of went wrong putting it back together? anyone have any pictures? i just wanna ride!

did you reinstall the spacers and washers on the clutch correctly?

make sure that the kickstarter lugs and springs are in the correct positions

when i took it apart i never even saw that little ball so im thinking it was in there the whole time. i might just bring it by the atv place on tuesday and have them take care of it. i dont really know what im doing i just followed some tutorials on the internet. id love to learn it all but its hard learning on your own.

did you line the clutch pressure plate up with the inner hub? there are marks on them that need to be lined up or it won't work
