right bend pips????

wat makes a right bend pipe better than a reg pipe? jw. im sick of seeing ppl say that ther better. i bet ther really not. its all about looks. im not sayin there sh*t im sure there are some great right bend pips but it gets annoying seeing ppl try to be diff.. you would think yamaha had a reason for designing it that way..

I think they look cool as hell but not sure if they are better than regular shaped pipes. You should talk to Freek he has one.

Its not because of the shape it self. the two reasons they are better is
1) they are just better built pipe's, plain and simple.
2) they help keep heat away from the head.

And yamaha made the pipe and the over all blaster that way for many many reasons... perfomance not one of them.

The right bend pipes are designed the way they are for a reason. Different shapes and bends create different volumes to effect performance. Overall volume, taper, and stinger length all influence overall power and where in the rpm range it will hit. The right bend headers tend to be the more aggressive designs.
And the factory pipe was made to be quiet and mellow. It was NEVER intended to pull your arms out of their sockets.

bingo........its all about the shape that dtermines where ur power ranges go....and a right hand is a better designed better shape pipe for a blaster......imo of course......dont need another pipe war thread here

also you have to rember that the blasters motor and desige started in the late early 80's thats maybe why yamaha didnt have the knowledge yet. this is also the same with a aftermaket cylinder, if you say that the port desiges on a blaster are great that has to be a joke

i always thought that it may have something also to do with there being less bends in a right hand pipe, giving a more direct path for the exhaust to travel; as being why drag pipes are as straight as they can be.. its what ive been told so correct me if i am wrong

all pipes are designed straight then bends are designed into them for the best fit you can have as many bends as nesisary as long as you keep the length and diameters the same it will have the same performance of the straight pipe the reason why drag pipes are straighter is they don't need to fool with making the bends to keep the pipe protected from rocks, roots and trees.
