trying to remove the tors on 04 blaster but not sure if i disconnected everything the thread i looked at was for an older year blaster. what iv done: disconnected wiring harness from bottom of carb, took out switch from throttle lever housing and cut switch off then spliced the two wires together. other threads show disconnecting tors brain but cant find it. anybody know wht else i need to do?

Ugh, newer Blasters suck when it comes to taking out the TORS system. The 2003-2006 models don't have a separate TORS brain in them. Instead, the brain is part of the single, 'Black Box' under the front of the hood. What I like to do is peel all the tape off the stock wiring harness and trace the TORS wire plugs back to where they are crimped into the rest of the harness and cut them there. That's a lot of work, so if you want, just snip them all off where they go back into the harness, without undoing any tape.

Don't twist any of the TORS wires together after you cut them. Just leave the connections open. If you twist them and make a connection, the TORS system will activate and the bike won't run.

Also, once you cut all the wires/plugs, look at the wires coming out of the engine, at the flywheel cover. Newer Blasters have 5-wire stator plates. (
Older ones use only 4 wires) Anyways, one of the wires coming from this newer stator plate is green. Isolate this wire and unplug or cut it, then ground it out against the frame or engine. If you don't ground the green wire out on newer Blasters, the engine won't run. It'll fire and pop a couple times, then shut off again.

Good luck with everything! PM me if needed!
