Hi all.
I want to remove the TORS system. But am I correct when i say on the "new" model Blaster (2005) .. The only thing i need to do is get a complete carb kit with new cable, and then its eliminated? No need to do further? ......

I heard something on splice cables and whatnot on the thumbthrottle.. but that is only on the old model right?

Old models you just unplug, the new model(03+) is what needs splicing or whatever. I'm not sure you either loop the throttle switch part where you unplug, or at the carb. Just bend a staple or paperclip in a u shape. You wont fry anything, it just wont start until looped correctly. Just try it on both switches till it starts I believe.

On the 04' I am playing with I unplugged the connector at the carb top. At the throttle switch I traced the wire and down below the plug I used a blue double wire splice and crimped it over the two wires to short them together. You can get the TORS kits on E-Bay that come with the drill, tap and idle screw. Not hard to do even with a hand drill. I did mine in the mill just because it was there.
