ive heard people say they remove there base gasket for more compression but it doesnt seem like it would seal righr and wouldnt that mess with your port timing a bit??

i did it back in the day when i was into gopeds i just used some high temp RTV. yea it will prolly throw it off, you would be better off sending out your head to get it cut for more comp/

yeah i have the vitos high compression kit i was just wondering because the kit didnt give me alot of diffrence

it gave me 145 compression if i have the head shaved wont i need to use high octane fuel? btw i use 93 now 87 pinged and chattered

idk if anyone noticed (it said in my sig for a little), but i ran w/out a base gasket for a little when i was playing around with my own porting. sealed it with RTV

it drops the whole jug a little both increasing compression and lowering ports. in theory a lower exhaust port roof will increase low end power. i didn't notice any difference, however. my blaster has more low end now than ever before since Angus gave me correct port timing for my pipe and changed my squish band and combustion chamber.

best to run anything with a carb on better quality gas...you dont want run lesser quality gas in a carb that will get it all gunked up...

Also, my blaster had horrible compression when the people who rebuilt it used silicone instead of a gasket.
