I am looking at some different reeds, and was wondering if it's the standard to get the petals alone or the whole valve system. Thanks, Ben

Well depends you can get some reeds that fit your stock reed cage. Or if you want to go the more expensive route you can get a whole new cage and reeds.

Looking to keep it budget now, but I was looking at Boyesen Power reeds. Will those fit in the stock cage or do you have any recommendations? Thanks, Ben

Go with the boyesen power reeds.... i dont thing the boyesen rad valve does much of anything..... the vforce 3 reed setup is nice, and youll notice better response.... but i wouldnt spend the $120... just get the reeds... they will wake things up too...

we keep them in stock

you need to look at your type of riding, not just any reeds will suit your style/engine setup.Different materials, different frequencies, dual stage ect ect.You wouldnt want to run dual stage with a high rpm engine.Im suprised no one is offering the cr125 reed setup.Dont be fooled by the gimmicks like some aftermarket cages(im not gonna mention them)

its a cr125 reedcage basiclly, the intake need to be worked so you can fit it in.For the price of a vforce you can buy 10 cr125 reed blocks and have your intake modified(better choice if you ask me)

not trying to ? your knowledge but do you have this on your personal Blaster or have you ever done it to another one? and what do you mean by have your intake modified? how much?

ive done it to many including my own when i had one, mike merricks(con8quest6) motor is running a cr125 reedblock. You have to widen the intake to accept the reedcage, its much wider then a blaster reedblock, youll need a custom spacer made too(not much $$ if i do it).Bolt patterns are identical

Boyesen dual stage made a nice improvement on my basically stock blaster (FMF Fatty, airbox cover removed). It's confusing which ones are which, Pro, Power, etc....There are three different ones IIRC. I got the dual stage ones and I like them. As mentioned above, they're not best for every condition, but I think they are good for what I do....mostly make use of the full power band, not just keep it up high or down low like you would for a certain type of race specific built blaster. Fiberglass and carbon fiber single stage reeds have their place too.

Heck, I'm not even sure the dual stage reeds are the best for the way I use my blaster, but I figured they're a compromise of sorts, and I'm happy with them!

most all the 90s years will work.Different years have different designs like dividers ect but they will all work.2000 and up i dont think are the same but i could be wrong
