With the recent threads about reed valves I got to wondering how much time everyone is getting from their reeds?

If you installed new, list brand/&type, stops or not, how much time you have on them/got out of them.

If they are as purchased on quad estimate hours you have put on them/or got out of them.

Thanks guys and gals for sharing info. I:I B)

BTW, anything relevant to style of use such as pure drag, TT/flat track/ice,, or mx post that too.

boyesen dualstage reeds non C F mostly stock motor, stock cage, lasted about 6 months before one of the sides cracked.

boyesen dualstage CF reeds bought by slickerthanyou and installed on a RAD valve he used for a little while then i bought and drag raced and play rode for over a year on them before selling the cage. reeds were slightly worn at that point

I bought a used CR125 reed cage off Ebay to install on my Vito's BBK. The reeds were not new but not badly worn either. I've had them in there for probably 50 hours with no trouble out of them yet.

brand new vf3's, been on 3 seasons, still look brand new after countless hours (200+/?)

i have boyesen daul stage reeds that i bought second hand, but brand new. installed them last march and probably 50 to 60 hours on them easy. no trouble yet.
