reed spacers????/

i have a 1/2 inch spacer what will it do have a good port job and a custom pipe and can that is one off that is sickkkk and a 300 main jet and no TORS i also have a hot shot coil and cdi

it will not add any noticable power gains. they are basically used for carb clearence from the clutch arm on the case.

Well, not really. Spacers reduce the "powerband hit" and mekes it less noticable. That does not mean it will reduce anything, on the contrary, it evens out or spreads out a bit the powerband. It's more noticeable on some engines than others. Great for trail or woods bikes that need torque.

So a reed spacer doesn't do anything? Because I have a boost bottle that I haven't put on yet I think I need that spacer so I have room for the hose coming form the boost bottle to the manafold or the hose will be hitting the top end of the engine

i tried a 1/2 inch reed spacer on mine and it did absolutely nothing for the power anywhere in the engine speed range. nothing on the bottom, nothing in the middle, nothing on top...

what all mods do you have?

i think the reed spacer is one of those things that does next to nothing by its self but when combined with other mods it starts to show more what it does. when my blaster was pretty much stock i didnt notice anything either really but after some other small stuff it seemed to do like the above described. if i didnt ride alot of small train=ls and inclines i would take mine out.

i have had one on mine b4 along with all of the mods i have and i didnt notice anything. i did not notice a difference with it on or with it off. so i just left it off.

I noticed a big difference...

I think you can feel it the most on built engines...

From what i know the spacers just change when your power band kicks in. they don't give you more power.

Mounted mine between the reeds and the engine, a litlle more top end and less agressive power delivery... between the carb and the reeds, better low end, but not to crazy about the rest, the mid to topend becomes a litlle hesitant.
