Reed cage, stock vs CT, pics

what i see here is Plagioclase rich felsic porphyritc granite with a small amount of orthopyroxene and quartz. Thin section under cross polars may make the presence of biotite and/or muscovite. The phenocryst texture is idicative of slow cooling within the magma body, little or no fractionation is present indicating equilibrium cooling beyond the eutectic ratio.

I wonder is thin section would reveal stress twinning?

hahahaha, wtf are u talking about, haha

haha, well i am a geologist! that is my second passion, so give me engine parts on a polished granite top and its like a festival for me!

you dine on an amazingly beautiful piece of earth there my friend!

here ya go guys. page 1 has the comparison of the rad valve to the stock reed cage. and then page 3 starts where i ported the insides of the cage.. to get it to fit in the cylinder is quite simple just hone out the intake (all the way from top to bottom the same size so the reeds can open) and then (with reeds in place) sand the reed cage down on the sides. do this until the cage fits in the intake, measure measure and measure, caliper is your best friend here. now throw in a reed spacer so the cage doesnt hit the intake ports and you're in baby

You never finished updating your thread, the info in it is incomplete.

So, to do this mod, what do you have to do to the stock jug? And if you were to do this for someone else, assuming you would, how much would you charge to do it?

You need to widen the intake. grind some material from the walls so the wider reed block will fit in. As far as what he would charge, i cant tell ya that one lol

to do the cr125 reedcage conversion i charge 140$,this includes the reedcage, new reeds and the spacer welded to the cylinder.I also build up the outside of the intake aswell.I recommend atleast a !/2 inch spacer all the way up to 3/4 for this mod.
The important thing is that not only the reedcage has clearance but that the reeds will also be clear when they are fully open.

What kind of reeds and reedcage are you using? And is there a way to do it without welding the spacer? Use a double gasket setup?

ive done them without welding at all,its just a nicer setup building up the intake and welding the spacer. The reedblocks come with carbon fiber, but really your choice ill get whatever you want
