Rebuilding The Blaster

The wrist pin to the top of the piston edge is the same as a stock Blaster piston. So you keep the stock durations. I bored mine out so this changes the durations slightly. Plus I wanted to move things around a tad.

that ought to be a torque monster Kevin ,my only concerns would be excessive heat and lack of required transfer space choking the bore

I think that was one reason they stopped making this kit. Lots of heat. I have always run her on the rich side.
I've taken as much aluminum out of the transfers as I could without welding or putty. It has made a great dune machine over the last 12 years. With the piston kit only being 80 to 90 dollars you would think someone would cast an after market jug........wait a minute! To the BAT CAVE!

All finished up. Its going back in now.

oh, i see now yes theres plenty of transfer area now ,looks good BTW ,how about opening up the cases some too theres plenty of meat to cut on them too you might benefit by redoming out the head (not just a wide squish band ) i have found on these bigger bores strokers etc .. jetting them a tad rich o n the main and running klotz supertechnaplate or castor 927 at 28-1 or 32-1 seems to keep temps down some and relibility up
