good afternoon all!

i have my blaster back from the powder coaters, and the front is all built and ready!

my problem is the rear now, i have a pivot works rebuild kit but i have a clue what direction what goes in.

ive tried searching but im not having much luck.

does anyone know if there is a link or a how to reinstall on these bearings/seals etc?

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

cheers
Dan

Right,

I'm looking at the drawing below and then I have attached what I have from pivot works.

Why doesn't the kit come with everything I need?

Is it possible for someone to tell me what items I now need to order so I don't make a mistake -

Here's what I actually have -

The blaster was beat so it had no bushes or bearings when I brought it hence i have no idea what goes where

Cheers

i can look at the extra swinger i have tomorrow, but if i remember correctly, the rubber seals go on the inside, on both sides against the engine.
the big rubber flat o-ring goes in each end cap.
the brass busings go into each end from the outside first, before the bearing, i believe there is a built in stop they must seat against.
then the bearings in last from each outer end.

the long cylinders go thru everything and should be kept inside the bearings as you push/press/tap them in, to keep the rollers from falling out of the bearing race.
surely you can see which goes on which side.

Well looking at the diagram and comparing to the parts I have...

The diagram shows 18 pieces in total.

I only have 12..

I can see I am missing the washers (item 7) And also items 11 and 12.

The other 2 I am missing is the oil seals but I am unsure which ones I have and which I am missing. I guess I'll just order all 4 and throw the pivot ones to one side!

Nothing is ever simple with this quad! I thought the rebuild kit would come with everything.

By the way, there are no stops inside the swing arm housing. You must just have to tap them flush with the housing

heres the all balls set i've bought before, compare it's pieces to yours............

You are missing the two plate washers #7 and the shim #8 for some reason they show 2 shims, one on each side, you should only need the shim on the LEFT side only. Some swingarm bearing kits come with these parts and some dont.

#12 is the stock Chain Roller Guide. like this Chain Roller Buffer Guide Seal Guard Yamaha Banshee YFZ350 350 Blaster 200 | eBay

#11 keeps the Chain Roller Guide from hitting the swingarm tube. my book calls it a protector guide.

I just got that kit last night on ebay. I like it because it has new thrust covers and its cheep. lol

notice it does not include the brass bushings,
i have never replaced them in the 3-4 swinger pivot rebuilds i have done, prolly because they weren't included in the kit ?
i'm sure my T-Rock swinger has all new parts in it, i had Tarmo do them before shipping it to me

I never had a problem with the Plastic bushings that come stock and that come in that kit. BUT i do like the looks of the brass bushings that come in the other kit.

excellent!

i live in the UK so ill have to order them from my local Yam dealer.

bit of a misleading kit really as i thought all would be inside a rebuild kit!

was hoping to have it fully rolling this weekend, guess ill have to wait until these arrive!

cheers for all the help!
