rebuild startup.

Are you sure you didn't crack your case when you blew it and it's sucking crankcase oil and air? I have seen that before. I also have an '01 blaster and when I bought it the guy told me he thought the carb was stopped up. I found that the little black box under the cowl (i don't know what it's called, someone told me it was a rev limiter but that don't make sense to me) was bad and when I unplugged it that fixed it. I just left it unplugged and it runs fine. It wouldn't rev very much more than an idle and then start cutting out.

After watching the video I'd scratch the little black box idea. Looks like way too much oil either from being mixed too rich, too much jet, or pulling it from the crankcase.

hmm.. check that plug see what it looks like now, if its covered in oul again somethings wrong... you sure when your pap rebuilt it he didnt put oil inside the case for some reason? maybe to lub it up?

Do you have like a 290 jet or smaller that you can try just to see if that does any better? That 310 shouldn't be too much I wouldn't think. You're running about the same setup as mine and it does good on top end and I'm running a 340 jet but I have a pretty aggressive port . The only thing is I wish I had more bottom end but as far as running rich or lean it's about right. When mine is cold it seems like it's loaded up but all you have to do is clean it out good through the gears and it's good to go from then on.

the loading up feeling your getting is be cause its cold, let it worm up more or youll be dealing with a cold siezure next....
