Im not sure if this is normal, yesterday i was riding in the snow. My bike stalled on me 2 times, both times I was moving fairly slow (2nd gear). Both times this happend my rear wheels locked up as soon as the blaster stalled on me. Shouldnt the bike coast a little, is something too tight or is this normal?

If it's in gear, the rear wheels will lock. Did it coast when you pulled the clutch in? If not, adjust the clutch!

Im glad to hear that, Yes it will coast with the clutch in or in neutral...Im just a noob and it felt really weird when it happened, it kinda made a clunk sound and instantly my back wheels skidded to a stop....Thanks

if the bike is in gear, the tranny will turn when the wheels turn. if the clutch is pulled in the tranny is disconnected from the engine. if not, then everything is pretty much just one long drive train so if the wheels are spinning, they'll try to force the piston around. if you're goin real slow and stall then your inertia isn't strong enough to force the piston over so your engine will act as a brake.

quam is right everything with a clutch when stalled will clunk and lock the wheels up due to the rotation is not fast enough to turn the motor over and that causes the wheels to lock and skid

yeah man if its in a gear, and the clutch isnt pulled, the rear wheels are trying to turn over the engine if the engine is not running, so if you stall it, pull the clutch and you'll be good. but if for some reason you stall while going pretty quick, you can bump start it while your still goin. takes some corrdination but you can do it, especially on a downhill.

correct me if im wrong but the lower the gear you are in the worse the tires will lock up when your engine dies out, and if it is cold it helps if you let it run for a little bit to get warmed up so you dont mess anything up
