Ok, so I was playing around with the yfs250r rear shock and there is some issues. It’s a trx250r shock with remote resi. I’m moving the shock mount on the swing down and closer to the frame for more travel. Going for as much travel as possible.
I’m aware there is a bushing set needed for the 400ex shock, but I’m not sure about 250r. It moves around up and down quite a bit. I could engineer a new shock mount but I’m lazy. The plan was to just cut the tubing the shock mount is connected too on the eBay special +4 arm and move it and rotate it where I need for long travel. Two cuts, two welds, and be done with it.
I can’t find shaft travel measurements of ether shock.
Does one or the other have different shaft travel. I want to switch to a 400ex shock but don’t want to sacrifice travel.
Also if I do go to a 400ex shock, which has more potential, 400ex or ltz400? I will be re valving and Re springing whichever one I get.
