i was just looking through the manual of the 03 to 06 and this is what i came across

Warning:
. Use only the recommended brake fluid. Other brake fluids may cause the rubber seals to deteriorate, causing leakage and poor brake performance.

. Refill with the same type of brake fluid. Mixing brake fluids may result in a harmful chemical reaction and lead to poor performance.

. Be careful that water does not enter the master cylinder when refilling. Water will significantly lower the boiling point of the brake fluid and may result in vapor lock.

im not sure if this helped you or not but its just something i came across

02 dosent have hydro brakes so theres no brake fluid unless someone changed it over i would suggest takeing it apart an cleaning all the internal parts an oil everything before puting it back together

My rear disk was seized up really bad when i first got my blaster. i had to take it to a shop to get the piston heated and presed out of the caliper. Then I cleaned the area really well and greased it up good. now my rear break works well. Oh also get a shorty break cable. Its the only way to go with the mechanical blaster breaks.

yea i think it has been changed i have a place to put break fluid but im nt sure about what fluide was in it i may start to strip it out 2 night:(

many thanks for the come back

The brake reservoir usually says what fluid is recommended on the top.

Change the brake fluid often if you ride in wet conditions a lot. Brake fluid absorbs moisture and loses it's properties. Use a fresh bottle and cap it...or use it all on something else! Bleed a little out of your car brakes, new fluid makes the brakes work much better!
