What is the difference between hydro and mechanical brakes? Also, will a rear hydro fit on a 2001 blaster?

mechanical/stock pre 03 brakes use a cable and suck
hydro's use hydrualic fluid to oprerate the caliper and are far superior
banshee and 03 plus blaster hydros can be made to work on pre 03's, with an 03+ carrier/hub/axle

mechanical ones lock up on ya a whole lot easier and there more prone to internal damage if you use excessivly
Take it apart and spray it with PB Blaster, it'll loosen it up if its stuck....well it should lol
sonds like a man with a plan most people just leav them off and rely on the fronts or get something better over time and do what AWK said
