rear brake pads

how do I replace the rear pads on my 89' ?

Im new here and new to the blaster
And i cant figer it out,i tyrd puttin new pads
But nuthing im doin is workin so i gave up..
Ridin with no back brakes for alil lol

I have never had to fit new rear pads as I have always relied on 95% stopping with the fronts.

From memory I believe you have to remove the caliper from the frame.

I did but cant get everything to close back up right...the pad doest have any play
And i really have no ider wat im doin.

back brakes are what you need for wheelies though!

Getting them to work can be a little tricky. When u have the caliper fully apart make sure to clean it very well as most problems are from water. U will prob have to sand or carefully grind the whole where the pad slides in and out of as it gets very tight from corrosion. Re set the adjuster after making sure it is still free and good working condition. Grease it up well when assembling and put a little grease in the caliper cover. Make sure u have the brake cable screwed all the way into the caliper or u wont b able to unhook it from the adjuster. Here is a repair manual that will help also
