Rear brake light doesn't get brighter when brake applied?

So i hooked up the 3 wires to my blaster rear taillight (2006 model) and the taillight comes on but nothing changes when I press the brake. I checked the little switch in the back i unscrewed it all the way up and down and still no change. The 2 black wires from the switch appear to be attached and I traced them to the wiring harness and everything looks ok?

I don't ever use brake lights but if I remember correctly that gets triggered by the spring that's attatched to the brake light switch. I would make sure that is working. You can also disconnect the brake light switch plug and set a multi meter up on continuity and ring the switch out to be sure it works. Then you can also test it off the pedal to be sure it is working. Also that's a dual element bulb I believe and could be one element blown out. Worth checking it either way.

I told you in that message how the switch should be hooked up.

Were you going to send me pictures of that extra light? Im still interested...

The tail light is brand new, I just checked the filament and both look like they are in great condition. One weird thing though..When I switch to high beam the rear light gets bright as hell?? The headlight and Tailight get brighter when i flip the highbeam switch?! The spring appears to be pulling down when I apply the brake. I though if i take a wire and connect it to the 2 wires on top of the switch it would activate the brake light but nothing happend
