Rear brake caliper issues?

New to the forum...be nice

I've been looking to get a Blaster and noticed a few times where the rear brakes are out and usually associated with the caliper. I've found what looks to be a pretty good deal on a 1998 model, and it has the rear brake caliper missing. Is this issue common on Blasters? Is there a "fix" if it is a commonly known about problem?

I tired searching, but nothing really came up.

Umm, the fix is get rid of it. Blaster brakes succccck, if you get a blaster, save yourself a lot of time, money, and aggrevation and get and 03+. I wish that I had started out with an 03 cuz then maybe I would be able to kick ass, and stop on a dime.

The piston will seize up from dirt, all you do is take them apart and grease it up. My cable brake will skid down the road just fine.
