Rear brake/aftermarket swinger question

Our blaster is a 2006 and has the GForce axle. I am about to get a custom swinger. It will be roundhouse style and use a banshee aftermarket roundhouse carrier.
My questions are:
Will I have to buy a banshee caliper?
Will the stock blaster caliper and disc work?
Will I have to modify anything?
I used search for a 1/2 hour and gave up and I had to post up.

I'm not sure if you'll need to use the banshee brake caliper or not but I do know that you can get extended brake cables and/or hoses for the rear caliper when using the extended swingers. good luck!

If its a hydro rear caliper it "should" work. The calipers themselves are the same but I'm not 100% sure on the mount. You will need a longer line, but those are easy to find.

they are just like our carriers, bolt thru

yes your right about that.

why do you want to get a shee carrier if you have a 06 blaster?

I believe he is just adding a roundhouse swinger which uses the banshee carrier. Everything should bolt up fine with the 06 blaster stuff. Most roundhouse blaster arms use the so called shee roundhouse carrier. its one in the same.

yeah jay you are right on both counts there. I got the same setup. they just call it a banshee carrier. it is the same as the blaster roundhouse and everything bolts up

correct on all assumptions. Sorry AWK, I thought I made my post easy to understand. I am getting a custom chassisincfab first run swinger built. Lew is kind of learning as he goes along with mx blaster stuff and we are the testers. he called me and said i would have to run a banshee caliper because the roundhouse carrier is made for banshees. Unfortunately not a lot of companies recognize our little old blasters anymore with performance parts.
Our quad is a 2006 with hydros and a new gforce axle. i thought since the axle was the same for the banshee and blaster that the brake had to be the same. I knew you guys would know and I wanted to be prepared when the swinger arrives if I had to buy a banshee caliper. After looking on ebay I thought they were the same but still wanted the opinions of the BF members.
I appreciate the input from all of you guys, i will post up pics when I get it, probably about 2-3 weeks out.
