I was out riding the blaster(02) today and out of no where the rear axle siezed up. Prior to that happening I noticed the chain was to tight one minute just right the next. All my bolts were tight and the adjusters were tight and had not moved. After the axle siezed and it was up in the air for examination i noticed what seems like excessive play on the sprocket hub and rear disc hub. disk moves pad to pad in the rear brake and the sprocket has side to side movement as well as a little on rotation. My questions are: Do I need new hubs? Are any brand bearings better than the stock units? Are the cheaper bearings found on ebay any good? Yamaha prices seem a little steep. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

im running the bearings off ebay front and rear and they seem to be just as good as any other...your disk brake hub will move back and forth it floats....is your axle nuts tight that could be the side to side movement but the little rotation u probably need a new sprocket hub

my buddy had the same thing happen with his blaster. the axle bearings shattered in the carrier and it was a royal b*tch to get apart. your hubs should be fine, but you may have some marks on the sprocket hub
