Hi
New here..glad i found this. I just traded my first blaster..an 02'. I traded my sons 01 kx65 monster (pit bike on crack). I think i got a steal though.

It just had the motor rebuilt and top end..I have to torque the head bolts down and do the "break in" process..what exactly do i need to do to break it in? I really want to ride it today! thanks guys look foward to all the great info here!

I just read the break in post..thanks. Also, the PO said he runs 40:1 now since it's bored. I dunno what kind of piston he put in ill look later..is 40:1 too lean??

Also i know the bolts need to be torqued to spec, but i called a motorsports friend who owns a shop and he said just to torque tight if i dont have the correct wrench, then check again after break in..i know theres always an anal way to do something but is it absolutely necessary to torque to spec? (which ive read its 25, 27 and 40 lbs..which is it?
