hi, i have the stock carb, no airbox lid, stock pipe, and am getting a K&N air filter. i still have the stock 230 jet and where i live it is 56 feet above sea level. what size jet should i get?

the stock jet is 230 right? when i was riding yesterday i noticed when i went from 5th to 6th the rpms dropped and it didnt speed up at all. could this be why?
i would try the 260 1st as removing the oil injection will sometimes cause a need for a larger jet. however as scot said get 250-270 so you dont have to reorder if you need a larger or smaller jet...
probobly, running your bike lean will usually cause catastrophic failure. this is what gives 2strokes a bad name. be sure and jet it correctly!!
i would advise against the kits and go for the factory jets. call jetsrus or carbpartswarehouse. you should be able to find them on ebay also but be sure they are oem makuni jets as aftermarket jets are known to be off in size and can make it difficult to get accurate jetting.
get 250 a 260 and a 270 just in case you need to switch. if you plan on getting an aftermarket pipe you might as well get larger sizes as well...
should i get the mikuni genuine ones or the mikuni equivalents? the equivalents have A 260 size and are half the price
i would get the genuine but its your money... like i said the equivilants can be off in size and your buying them for there size.
