hey guys i would be posting this on 400ex forums or something but they havent sent me my confirmation email. anyways my 400ex has bone stock motor nothing stock air filter and such. i may be getting a hmf slip on this week and probley taking out spark arrestor. anyways do you need to re jet the carb if my bike is going to be set up like this?

it wont hurt it if you dont but it will perform better if you do rejet to the pipe.
ight thanks i wanted to no cause we cut the spark arrestor and the baffle outta my stock pipe and i heard it will destroy the rings and i didnt know if it would do that with after market pipe

yes, you need to rejet.

maybe 1 size on the main and leave the pilot alone for just a slip on.

one size up on the main and maybe a clip on the needle, from the factory those bikes are jetted extremely mellow.. get a full jet kit and screw around with it for a few days, u can real wake that bike up with some precise jetting

I would suggest just waiting and saving until you can afford a full system. A slip on with improve sound but thats it. You won't notice a power change much at all.

i would but i really screwed up by cutting my spark arrestor off of my stock pipe and now its gonna eff up the rings

Yeah well get a slip on for now but MAKE SURE YOU GET ONE WITH A FULL SYSTEM OPTION! Like get a pipe that can be sold as a slip on or full system and when you get the money buy a head pipe. My advice, go Yoshi or call Tom Carlson at TC racing. He makes one crazy 400EX pipe.
