Racing Clutch's

we use expensive clutchs and went through them until when installed moose heavy duty springs, but retail is around $40-50 for th good ones. never tried any other though so might get by cheaper. other blaster owner may help on other sets

heavy duty springs will also make the clutch lever harder to pull than stock. it shouldn't be very hard to pull in, but it wont be easy like the stock springs.

i have DP racing clutches (comes with friction plates, clutch plates, and heavy duty springs) and haven't had any problems yet and i've had them in for about 2 years now.

yes heavier springs help, but its not everything, the stock discs are garbage and once you go above a pipe, they will start to slip

the disc material is key too, barnett makes some decent discs, but there is a guy on ebay that sells a kit, i forgot his name but it is a very great setup

i used his discs for an entire race season on my old bike and when i pulled it apart for a rebuild, they were the only thing that did not need replacing

the racing will help if u have more power but will be harder to pull but if ur blaster is standard (or stock) u don't need them unless ur clutch needs replacing

all good but springs seem to make most impact for us if you were to choose one thing. we changed all for racing. We don't want to loose a race cause clutch went out. Happen 1st and 2nd year racing but not our 3rd. 3rd year same clutch for about 30 races and still looks good.
we run Barnett K Kevlar Friction Plates kit.

oil is also important!

if you have sh*tty oil, your clutch will get gummed up and slip.
if you have oil that has friction modifiers in it, you clutch will slip.

you want good oil, you can get the gear saver sh*t, or run aft type f.
