I'm looking into upgrading my front brake lines into some nice braided lines. The question is, which style is best? The one with the tblock(stock way) or a 2 line "race style" system. Post the pros and cons.

I could never see the point in the 2 line set up. There is no way you can pull the brake lever fast enough for the single line to restrict the flow. Dual lines just makes more clutter coming off the bars.

That is what I was thinkg about, having 2 lines coming down the bars would take up more space and not look good. But I still dont understand the purpose of having 2 different styles, which is why I decided to make the thread. See if someone has more insight.

i run the dual lines for....i don't no what reason, i think i found them cheaper than the t-block style at the time.
the only advantage i can see is the added fluid of the second line preventing fluid over heating in extreme braking situations ?
either way....i can do stoppies :)

The dual lines right now are $3 bucks cheaper, at least the ASR ones. I might go for the dual lines if no real difference comes to light

I got dual lines because they came with my ASR a-arms. Another advantage i GUESS is less connections so less places to leak???

Yes less connections n companys can cheap out by not providing extra pieces, a second line is cheaper for them than all the connections, i actually got in an argument with one of the brake line companies bc i WANED a T but couldnt get it.
One cool thing is it adds more bling having the second if u get a flashy color and if you have a company build your lines you can change anodized colors of your banjo bolts to make even more flashy.
If you decide to have them made id go with the company Core, they specialize in street bikes but its 100% the exact same line and banjos and i can measure front line lengths for +3 i have if u want. I can add picslater of mine if you want. Ill explaine bennies of Core. All other companies you cant change banjo bolt color or sleeve its just silver, and not many color choices. Core when i got my lines where only $65 compared to $85+, has over 14 steel braided line colors, 8 banjo colors, 6 sleeve colors, over 14 banjo bends if you choose to change, comes custom packaged with instructiins, hardware, stickers, key lanyard ect.,ect. So the bling factor of 2 is awsome, i loop mine up and back down to show them off a little rather than the T you would just point down and kinda hide. Had a Gaulfer? Brake line set twice.... Plain Jane, expensive, boring lines... Work but spent less for higher quality art and am much pleased. Actually i have my rear brake with a Core line on it in the usps on its way back from Awks right now, wonder how much he liked it

I do believe the extra fluid makes for a little more precise brake control on application.
If u read this guys the same pricebc its $30 per line, also limited colores. No anodized banjos, plain jabe lines, maybe for a rear but my core rear was only $45...

Dareal, ill get length n pics tomorow, ull lovee themz n super nice to deal with

I like the stainless clear look with the polished stainless fittings! To get one from Core that is 50" long is $69.99. OUCH! Did i not do something right?

is it? or is core 2? hmm you may be right bronco its been since before winter I worked with them... ok core is a great custom fabber for rear hydro or to spend a little more to get anodize and more color availability... and your link is great for similar lines decent color selection, and just silver banjos... good find, good assortment of availability! see takes a few minds to put together a buffet! lol I will still update my length tomorrow for front lines for anyone making their own.

ok so... my fronts are 2 50" (53 banjo to banjo) streamlines $70.
as you can see its a dull solid blue color with plain silver banjos and an ugly silver exposed sleeve. they had ONLY 3 colors at the time.. dull blue, dull red, black ... they were bought in 11/15/2013

after I got them I did some looking around and found a motorcycle company that does the same lines and banjos for not much more that I can remember and price is within a length range, you can add up to 8"s or so for a set price as if you are getting an extended swing arm or so... and an extra charge for another line or so.

rear is a Core $60 bought 12/08/2013. translucent with blue anodized banjos, blue sleeve cover with core logo, and they even slip on nice heavy duty strap down points threw out the line for zip ties or so.
Core you pick 19 dif color lines, banjo styles, 11 banjo colors, 10 sleeve colors. for mine I ordered the gsxr and thought to add 4" which the length was way too long for blaster but if you contact them you can tell them what length and what banjo style or otherwise angle and youd probly get it a lot cheaper bc installed mine is WAY too long almost 10" lol
