the arrow faces forwards, towards the exhaust. also look at the opposite side, you see the windows in the piston which will pass over the intake side.

well theres a good possibility that i did and thats why my blaster wont run right ,starts right up though, but i really hope i didnt .what a tard

Well, if you did that you can always check. it takes what 30 minutes to get the head off to check? But if you did put it in backwards please post pics of it so we can all see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol^

just look for the arrow or if you dont want to take the head off...take off the carb, intake boot and reeds then get a flashlight and turn the motor over slowly and look for the windows, if theres no windows then you have it backwards.

If you put it in backwards the ring end gaps will snag the exhaust port and snap off. This would be expensive. Possibly a new rebore, piston and rings.

well im about to find out what kind of damage can happen
just took the jug off ,and yes i am a dumbass arrow points to the rear of blaster
rep points to you cirame for helping me think about it ,been tryin to figure this problem out for awhile now

hmmm how long were u acualy running it like that? check your ports and cylinder for damage because like paulie said, little dowels that line up the rings are in a specific place that is possitioned to ride along the cylinder wall instead of over a port. if it goes over the port the ring could catch the port and rip it off give you a major headache.

hahaha thats messed up lol but yea u can see the 2 intake porst on the piston that r suppose to be on the back but i had it on the fornt way and continued with the install and i checked back and confirmed u said front so i was lik ok good. but blueblaster the cylinder looks bomb u can really see how much they took ou of the head and cut it sh*t looks tight. im actually trying to get the cylinder on the piston but i cant compress the rings good enough so im waiting til my boy comesover to help out. i put a couple tiny dings in the top of the piston trying but barely noticable hope it doesnt affect anything. but cant wait to get the biotch on. any advise for sliding the cylinder on it? i bought a ring compressor but its to big for the little piston and i tried compressing them with somone and sliding it over but it didnt want to go.

also, wen the piston ison the rod with c clips on is there suppose to be play with the rod like piston back and forth? and is there a specif spot on the piston the rings have to be facing like the rings have to be lined up at a certain spot or no?

^ just making sure, because you worded that a bit funny and it almost sounds wrong.

arrow points FORWARDS
ports on PISTON are at the BACK on the INTAKE side.

just want to make sure you got it right.

edit: yeah theres dowels that line up the rings. and theres a certain way the rings go on, it will say with the instructions or a little notice (i think wiseco says writting on the rings goes up, I THINK)

and yes theres play for the piston to slide back and forth on the wrist pin with the c clips on.

yea yea yea i got that. i had that right before i got the answer. but there is suppose to be play on the rod back and forth am i correct?

damn well the rings r on i bought it used form blueblaster but i wanttomake sure they rin the right spot. b/c they spin around the piston and i have been spinning it so i want to make sure they r in the right spot ill check on the piston for marks andon the cylinder.

squeeze the ring when you spin it around. you should feel it drop off the pin. when you slide the jug on again make sure the rings are in the right spot and squeeze them, the bottom of the jug is like beveled to help squeeze the rings some more.

ok, sry for all the ?'s but i wanna make sure i do it rite the first time. i spun both rings squeezed and i found a spot for each that it stops on and i looked and can see a groove. the groves r close to each other but not on the same spot. do i leave the rings on the 2spots now and squeeze them wen puttin into jug? thanks
