My buddy just bought a blaster cheap. The kid said he rebuilt the top end (which I believe because it's 126 psi). I know a little about the oil injection block off kit as you people taught me about it. It's missing the cap on the carb where the oil injection went so it idles ok for a few seconds then it gets loud and rough, could that air way be the problem? Sounds like an air leak but I'm not sure if that's the problem. And would a leak tester catch that on a leak test? My other buddy has one but is out of town so we couldn't test.

If you are saying the nipple where the oil is supposed to go is open CAP IT!! Big air leak, and I take my carb off to leak test so I wouldn't catch it!

Ya I figured that, i ran out of caps so I have to get more. I told him not to run it until it's capped.

Ya I told him not to. I told him I was gonna take his bike until fixed so he didn't have the nerve to start it.

a leakdown tester will not catch anything carb related, as the carb is removed to insert the tester into the intake.

you can use a short piece of 1/8" hose with a little rtv and a tight fitting bolt to block off that nipple.
but an 1/8" vaccuum cap is best though

Ya i know I have blocked a couple off in the past. He just asked me so I thought that was it. I need to get some more.
