quick foam filter question

ok so i decide to run a foam filter for winter for better snow dust protection but i put it on yesterday and im not super happy with how it seals up to the airbox. my k&n fit very snug against the box where as this one not so much, so my question is does a foam filter normally fit very tight or is it just the nature of the plastic cage to not be as tight??

well man when you tighten the screw it tightens the cage tight on the filter on the bottom...hope ya get what im sayin

lol thanks man!! haha jk. yeah i think i figured out what is wrong, i looked at the uni you have for sale and the washer i have is not nearly as big as the one on that uni filter. so i think the smaller washer appears to be pulling the center down too far making the front of the filter raise up a little.
