I had to remove my clutch to replace my main seal. I was just wondering if it matered what order I put the clutch plates back in. I put them back in the exact reverse order that i took them out. Is that the only thing that I need be be concerned about?I:I

ok first up, you gota remeber to line the dots up on the basket and the inner part. then the first plate will be a fiber, then steel, then fiber, then steel and so on. when you get to the second last fiber, it has a bigger inside diamtetre because theres a spring washer that fits in it. put that in then there should be another steel then friction to top it off.

anyone confirm this please? thats ow i remeber it.

i put the steel plates and the fiber plate back exactly how they came out. i saw there there was a dot on the pressure plate so i lined it up with the dot on the clutch basket. That is what you are taking about right??

well the inner and outer clutch basket orwhatever the term is have dots on them. they need to be lined up BEFORE you put clutch plates in.

yea i had them lined up. the dot on the clutch boss with the dot on the pressure plate. I could test my blaster out if I had a clutch cover gasket.

89custom is right. Just line up the outer and inner basket. The second to last ring is also right. That is counting from the outside. Add a little oil too..Also there is a adjuster that needs to be adjusted too before you put the cover on..
