Okay, so I've been trying to figure out what all I'm going to need when I buy my Shearer pipe. Everyone recommends the pipes to me, so I've decided thats probably what I'm going to get. Okay, I live in Western Pennsylvania. About an hour or so above Pittsburgh, the actual city is New Caste, PA. I pretty much need to know if someone in the area or rough area has a Shearer pipe and what jetting they use. I can't figure out what jetting to buy, and no one seems to know the exact answers.
I debated changing my ideas and either purchasing a Vito's Fat Bastard pipe or a Toomey B-1 pipe. Both companies offer a jetting pack. The Toomey comes with a 310 main jet, which I read on here may be large. Vito's sells a jetting kit for an "Open Airbox" stock Blaster. What would I need to do for the open airbox? Is it as simple as just removing the lid or what? Also, do these pipe help with low-mid range or are they based on high-end? I want mainly low-mid range because I do mainly trail riding and hill climbing. I definitely won't complain if it impacts the high-end.
So, basically, I want to know, does anyone from my area have any of these pipes? Does the Toomey or the Vito's do similar performance as the Shearer? If you're from this area, what jets are you using?
Thanks.
