weirton wv
Stock cylinder 240 sleeved
Milled head
Ported
Trinity exhaust
Air lid off
Pre-mix 32:1
K&n filter
Makuini flat slide carb (28 mm I believe)
Vf4 reeds

How would I jet my carb I'm guessing start at 300 but not sure also it is gonna need broke in so how would I plug chop since I can't do any wot runs with it

I'm about 700 asl (above sea level)

I would start at #320, heat cycle it, re tighten the head and jug and then 2 tanks of gas at no more than 3/4 throttle.

The main jet does not come into play until after 3/4 throttle so you will not have a main jet problem until you go WOT.

you're almost going to have to find somewhere to plug chop that, i'm not sure i've ever even seen anyone run a 28mm mikuni on a 240/right bend piped machine, so previous experience with that set-up is going to be slim to none.

You need to break it in first before any plug chop at WOT is attempted.

As I said the main will no come on board until 3/4 throttle.

You will only be running on the idle and needle up to 3/4 throttle, so heat cycle, tension and no more than 3/4 throttle for a few tanks.

Now you are ready to do a WOT on the main jet, go big a for the first run,.

Ok thanks idk if its a 28mm or not but I'm gonna be really pressed for cash after these builds should I go bigger like a 33 or a 35?

a 240 with the top end oriented right bend pipe, i'd go at least a 33/34/35

Ok thanks again I'll keep my eyes peeled this is my spare motor build so I'm not in a huge rush but it would be nice to buy/trade for one if possibl even if that means my spare parts quad gotta go :(

you'll need a 33-35 intake for that too...there goes another $60

Yeah I was just looking that up and another carb looks like it just got put on the back burner till I come up with funds for the carb everything else is gonna get done I'll just stuff some rags in the intake and the exhaust port to keep dust out... Back on the shelf it goes

Off the top of my head the postage could be betwee $80 - $100.

I would love to give you the carby but it owes me a lot of money, but I would be willing to take $120 for the carb and boot.

It is complete other than missing the under main jet brass washer.

Sorry if I gave you a wrong impression.

I would be willing to swap for a stock jug with a few bores left, think about it.

No wrong impression I know a lot of things aren't free and I could do the trade even just give me till Monday I'll send you a pm then also could I use a brass washer from say a stock carb or is it a lot bigger I would assume it would be bigger but not sure

It takes the same jets as the 26mm stocker.

I have actually no idea what jets if any, or needle are in it.

I will get a look at it in the morning and let you know.

To tell the truth, I was going to put it on my lads bike, but as I thought it would be over kill and a beech to jet, I put it back in its plastic bag and put it in the too hard basket.

It looks too impressive as well, I dont like an MX bike to look like it is a killer, the 26mm sleeps very well until the gas gets put on.
